About High Side! Bar & Grill

Since day one, High Side! has been the go‑to gathering spot in downtown Salida.

Founded by local river lovers, High Side is one of the few places in Salida where you can literally float up from the Arkansas River, grab a drink or a bite to eat, and enjoy it on the riverside patio or take it to go and relax by the water.

Our Story

In September 2024, longtime High Side! team members Halley Whittington and Johnny Shepard took the reins.

They stepped in with a promise to enhance the experience while keeping the spirit alive. The goal is simple: keep it fun, fresh, safe, and full of local flavor.

Live Music, Always

We host live music every Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and Sundays at 2PM. Treat yourself to cold drinks, good company, and music that hits just right—on the patio or by the bar.

Happy Hour

Join us Monday through Friday from 3–5 pm, and again Monday through Thursday from 9 pm–midnight for drink and food specials.
